Dr. Hamdi Farag

Prof. Dr. Hamdi Farag is a Professor and Consultant of General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Saudi German Hospital in Ajman, with more than 16 years of clinical experience in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar University in 2005 and completed a three-year general surgery residency at Al-Azhar University Hospitals. He earned his Master's degree in General and Laparoscopic Surgery in 2009 and his Doctorate (MD) in 2014, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Farag's clinical expertise spans bariatric surgery (including laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, mini gastric bypass, and revision procedures), gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, surgical oncology, breast surgery, thyroid and endocrine surgery, head and neck surgery, and hernia repair. He performs both open and laparoscopic (keyhole) approaches and has particular experience with laser-assisted rectal and anal procedures. He has published multiple papers in international journals and presented research at conferences across the Middle East and Europe.
