FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is MyDocAE?+

A free directory of 12,040 doctors across 29UAE hospital groups. Search in plain language (“heart doctor”, “kidney stones”), filter by what matters, and compare up to 4 doctors side by side.

Where does the data come from?+

Every profile is compiled from the doctor’s own hospital website — public information only — and refreshed monthly. We never invent facts: if it isn’t on the hospital profile, it isn’t here.

Is MyDocAE medical advice?+

No. MyDocAE is informational only. The symptom search suggests which kind of specialist typically handles a problem — it is not a diagnosis. Always consult a doctor about your health. In an emergency, call 998 (ambulance) or 999 (police).

How do I book an appointment?+

MyDocAE links you to the doctor’s profile on the hospital’s own website, where you book directly. We take no commission and have no say in availability or pricing.

Are doctors paying to be listed or ranked?+

No. Every doctor from the 29 covered hospital groups is listed, and ranking is by profile completeness and relevance to your filters — never payment.

How do patient reviews work?+

Reviews require a (free) account and a visit attestation — which branch you visited and when. Each review is screened before publishing and labeled Patient-reported. One review per doctor per person; reviews with personal data, spam, or abuse are rejected. You can report any review you believe is fake.

I'm a doctor — my profile is wrong or missing. What do I do?+

Use “Suggest a correction” on your profile page, or the contact form. Corrections are reviewed by a human and survive our monthly data refreshes. If your hospital updates your official profile, the change flows in automatically on the next refresh.

Which hospitals are covered?+

29 hospital groups across all seven emirates — see the full list on the Hospitals page. More are added over time.
