Dr. Abdul Khaliq Eltom

Dr. Abdul Khaliq Eltom is a Consultant General and Trauma Surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, bringing 24 years of clinical experience across surgical emergencies, trauma care, and critical care management. He holds medical qualifications from Al Azhar University in Cairo and is certified by the Irish Medical Council, Egyptian Medical Council, and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. His career spans multiple leading institutions across the UAE, where he has managed complex surgical cases and contributed to clinical education.

Dr. Eltom specializes in trauma surgery, burn surgery, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, and emergency medicine. He has particular expertise in managing all types of surgical emergencies, especially trauma cases, as well as planned surgical procedures. As a laparoscopic surgeon, he performs minimally invasive operations with precision. Beyond direct patient care, he has served as a trauma surgery instructor, leading training courses and teaching at institutions including Tawam Hospital and Sharjah University.
