Dr. Artemisia Dimostheni

Dr. Artemisia Dimostheni is a Staff Physician in the Neurosurgery Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Neurological Institute. She trained in medicine at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, and completed her neurosurgery residency at Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen, Germany in 2014. During her residency, she spent over nine months in intensive care and six months in intraoperative neuromonitoring training. She also completed a fellowship at the University of Miami in Florida. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, she worked as a Specialist and Junior Consultant at Tübingen University's neurosurgery department.

Dr. Dimostheni is board certified in neurosurgery in Germany and covers all areas of general neurosurgery, with particular expertise in pediatric neurosurgery—surgery on children's brains and spines. She has completed specialized postgraduate training in pediatric neurosurgery through both European and German courses. Her doctoral research focused on surgical techniques for cervical spondylotic myelopathy, a condition where bone and disc changes in the neck compress the spinal cord.
