Dr. Uzma Ashraf

Dr. Uzma Ashraf is a UK-trained endocrinologist with over 20 years of clinical experience across the UK and UAE. She holds MRCP (UK) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine, and completed her medical degree at Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 2004. She has trained at leading institutions including Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Leicester Diabetes Centre, and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Dr. Ashraf specialises in managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes using the latest insulin pump technology and continuous glucose monitors (Libre and Dexcom devices). She offers obesity pharmacotherapy including GLP-1 treatments (Wegovy) and dual GIP/GLP agonists (Mounjaro), alongside low-calorie diet programmes. She also manages general endocrine conditions and helps prevent heart and metabolic complications in her patients. Dr. Ashraf is DAFNE-trained (a structured education programme for insulin users) and holds British Menopausal Society certification in menopause management.
