Dr. Andreas Tsiakkas

Dr Andreas Tsiakkas is a British-trained Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over a decade of experience in obstetrics and fetal-maternal medicine. He completed his specialist training in the UK, acquiring his CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) and MRCOG (Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) qualifications. He holds a Fetal Medicine Foundation Diploma from King's College Hospital and a PhD from King's College London and Manchester Metropolitan University, where he conducted research on screening for preeclampsia. He recently joined King's College Hospital London (Dubai) from his role as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Consultant at Royal Bolton Hospital in Greater Manchester.

Dr Tsiakkas specialises in managing complex pregnancies, particularly those at high risk of complications. His clinical expertise includes detailed ultrasound assessments of the fetus (including nuchal translucency, anomaly and growth scans), fetal heart imaging, and invasive procedures such as chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis for genetic testing. He also manages conditions such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, multiple pregnancies, preterm labour, and cervical insufficiency with cerclage placement when needed.

He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Fetal Medicine Foundation, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
