Dr. Praveen Ghisulal

Dr. Praveen Ghisulal is a Staff Physician in the Critical Care Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where he provides care for patients with life-threatening illnesses in the intensive care unit. He trained in critical care and anesthesia at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India, and holds his medical degree from Meenakshi University. Before moving to Abu Dhabi, he spent several years as an Associate Consultant at Medanta hospital in India, gaining extensive experience in managing critically ill patients.

Dr. Ghisulal has developed specialized expertise in caring for patients on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), a machine that temporarily takes over the work of the heart and lungs for patients whose own organs are failing. He treats conditions including acute respiratory distress syndrome (severe lung failure) and multi-organ failure. His approach combines this technical expertise with the clinical training from one of India's most respected military medical institutions.
