Dr. Jayachandran Thejus

Dr. Jayachandran Thejus is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Aster Hospital in Dubai, with over 21 years of clinical experience, including more than 10 years practising in the UAE. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and holds advanced credentials in cardiovascular care, bringing extensive expertise in both diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.

Dr. Thejus specializes in coronary artery disease management and primary angioplasty (emergency balloon treatment) for heart attacks. He performs a full range of cardiac diagnostic tests including echocardiography, stress testing, and heart-rhythm monitoring (Holter studies), as well as coronary angiography and angioplasty. He also manages high blood pressure and high cholesterol, conditions central to heart health. He completed his specialist training (DM Cardiology) at Government Medical College, Calicut, and previously worked as Senior Resident in Cardiology at a leading teaching hospital in Lucknow, followed by 13 years as faculty in the Kerala Government Medical College Service before moving to the UAE in 2016.

Dr. Thejus is known for his commitment to preventive cardiology and patient education, helping people reduce cardiovascular risk through lifestyle and evidence-based treatment. He is a member of the European Atherosclerosis Society, reflecting his special interest in complex cholesterol management.
