Dr. Maher H. Z. Al Rawi

Dr. Maher H. Z. Al Rawi is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 31 years of clinical, academic and surgical experience. He began his career in 1992 in Iraq, where he served as an orthopaedic surgeon and lecturer, later advancing to Assistant Professor and Deputy Dean for scientific affairs at Al Anbar Medical College. He also held academic positions at Baghdad University's Al Kindi College of Medicine, contributing to medical education and postgraduate surgical training. He now practises at NMC Healthcare in Sharjah, where he leads orthopaedic care across complex musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Al Rawi specialises in joint replacement surgery (hip and knee), trauma and fracture management, shoulder and elbow care, spine surgery, foot and ankle treatment, sports medicine injuries, and paediatric orthopaedics. He has particular expertise in paediatric trauma, congenital bone conditions (clubfoot, hip dysplasia), developmental disorders, and neuromuscular conditions including cerebral palsy. He performs arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and manages bone and soft tissue injuries throughout the body.
