Dr. Seif Sawalha

Dr Seif Sawalha is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with 18 years' experience, primarily in the United Kingdom's National Health Service before relocating to the UAE in 2022. He specialises in elbow surgery and treats all aspects of adult and adolescent elbow problems and injuries. Dr Sawalha graduated from the University of Jordan and completed his basic surgical training in London, Liverpool, and the South-West regions of the UK, followed by higher surgical training in London and the Eastern regions.

He trained on a national trauma and orthopaedic surgery programme based on the Liverpool rotation, including time at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital and other leading elbow units. He completed an advanced elbow surgery fellowship at Wrightington Hospital under Professor Adam Watts, a world-recognised centre for elbow care. Dr Sawalha has a strong research background with over 50 peer-reviewed publications and presentations at British and European conferences, and regularly participates in specialist international elbow meetings.

He is an active educator, serving as a tutor for the elbow module on the University of Edinburgh's online Master's degree course and is invited to review research submissions for the Bone and Joint Journal.
