Dr. Funda Akpinar

Dr Funda Akpinar is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at NMC Royal Medical Centre, Karama, with over 19 years of clinical experience in women's health. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Turkey and has built her career across leading teaching hospitals in Turkey and the UAE, most recently working at hospitals in Abu Dhabi before joining NMC Healthcare in Dubai.

Dr Akpinar's clinical expertise spans the full range of obstetric and gynaecological care. She specialises in pregnancy monitoring and ultrasound scanning, managing labour and delivery (including complications such as high blood pressure in pregnancy and heavy bleeding after birth), and performing gynaecological procedures including minimally invasive keyhole surgery, hysteroscopy (examination of the uterus), and fertility treatment. She also manages benign gynaecological conditions through surgical and non-surgical approaches.
