Dr. Ana Catarina Moreira

Dr Ana Catarina Moreira is a European board-certified specialist in pulmonology and sleep medicine with over a decade of medical experience dating back to 2012. She completed her pulmonology residency at Hospital Garcia de Orta in Lisbon and holds an MSc in Medicine from Oporto University. Her advanced training includes fellowships in mechanical ventilation and sleep disturbances at the Nava Respiratory and Critical Care Unit in Bologna, Italy. She has worked across both public and private healthcare systems in Portugal before moving to Dubai, where she has been practising since January 2024.

Dr Moreira manages a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions in both hospital and outpatient settings. Her expertise covers complex disorders including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary infections (tuberculosis, viral and fungal), pleural diseases, and interstitial and occupational lung diseases. She is particularly skilled in sleep medicine, addressing conditions like sleep apnea, hypoventilation, and insomnia. She also offers pulmonary rehabilitation, exercise testing, and smoking cessation support.
