Dr. Rafid Kareem Taher

Dr. Rafid Kareem Taher is a specialist ophthalmologist who trained in Iraq and Syria before relocating to the UAE in 2008. He works at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi, where he diagnoses and treats a comprehensive range of eye diseases, from common conditions like refractive errors to complex surgical cases.

Dr. Taher performs major ophthalmic surgeries including cataract extraction using both traditional and phacoemulsification techniques, glaucoma surgery, eye lid procedures, and vitreo-retinal work including retinal detachment repair and vitrectomy. He also offers laser treatments such as argon laser therapy for diabetic retinopathy and YAG laser capsulotomy.
