Dr. Fulvio Salvo

Dr. Fulvio Salvo is a Staff Physician in the Allergy & Immunology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Medical Specialty Institute. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he specialises in diagnosing and managing complex allergic and immunologic conditions. He trained at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy, where he completed both his medical degree and residency in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, with a particular focus on vasculitis and autoimmune diseases. He also completed a fellowship at San Raffaele Science Park focusing on emerging pathogens.

Dr. Salvo's clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of allergic diseases: asthma and severe asthma, food and drug allergies, chronic hives (urticaria), angioedema (severe swelling), eczema (atopic dermatitis), hay fever (allergic rhinitis), and chronic sinus problems. He is particularly experienced in recognising and treating acute life-threatening conditions such as anaphylaxis and has a strong interest in immunodeficiency disorders, allergen immunotherapy, and vasculitis. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as a consultant physician at Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and held a leadership role as Medical Project Director at AISPO Tibetan Delek Hospital in India.

Dr. Salvo has a passion for teaching and research. He has taught at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University as both a tutor and adjunct professor in medical therapeutics, immunology, rheumatology, and allergy. He has personally developed research projects and published multiple papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He is fluent in English and Italian.
