Dr. Shaylin Husselmann

Shaylin is a physiotherapist with a BSc from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Early in her career, she worked at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Africa's largest hospital, treating both children and adults in hospital and outpatient settings. This broad experience gave her a strong foundation across multiple physiotherapy areas.

Over time, Shaylin developed a particular passion for working with children. She transitioned to paediatric physiotherapy and pursued advanced training in paediatric neurology — the physiotherapy of childhood nervous-system conditions. She obtained her MAES therapist certification (a qualification in movement analysis and education strategies) and has since worked across all areas of children's physiotherapy, from hospital inpatients to outpatient clinics. Her expertise spans early detection and treatment of developmental conditions, birth-related injuries and positional problems, children's bone and joint conditions, and paediatric heart and lung physiotherapy.
