Dr. Gautam Das

Dr. Gautam Das is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi with over 23 years of experience in internal medicine and nearly two decades focused on diabetes and endocrinology. He trained extensively in the United Kingdom and the UAE, obtaining his M.B.B.S. with distinction from the University of Calcutta and his M.D. in Internal Medicine from Aligarh Muslim University, where his research focused on type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and related cardiovascular risks. He completed specialist training in the UK and holds dual qualifications as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) and Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.

Dr. Das manages the full spectrum of endocrine conditions, from type 1 and type 2 diabetes (including atypical forms) to thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and gonadal disorders. He has particular expertise in insulin pump therapy and digital diabetes management, gestational diabetes in pregnancy, adolescent diabetes transition care, obesity and metabolic medicine (SCOPE certified), and bone health including vitamin D deficiency and osteoporosis. He previously worked for nearly 13 years as a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist within the UK's NHS and at a tertiary diabetes centre in the UAE.
