Dr. Esra Mejid

Dr. Esra is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a Swedish Board Certificate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She began her career in Baghdad before moving to Sweden, where she worked as a specialist at Sundsvall County Hospital and Södra Älv Borg Hospital in Gothenburg—both leading teaching institutions. She relocated to Dubai in 2016 and now serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah.

Dr. Esra manages the full spectrum of obstetric and gynaecological care, with particular strength in high-risk pregnancies, including those complicated by diabetes, hypertension, recurrent miscarriage, or previous infertility. She performs major surgical procedures including caesarean sections, hysterectomy, and extensive keyhole (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) surgery for fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and other gynaecological conditions. She also offers natural and water birth support and aesthetic gynaecology services.
