Dr. Mahmoud Farouk is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah, with over 13 years of clinical experience. He holds a medical degree, master's, and doctorate in cardiovascular medicine from Cairo University, Egypt, and completed a three-year clinical fellowship in complex coronary and peripheral intervention at Careggi Hospital, Florence University Hospital, Italy. He is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Health, DHA, and DHCC.
Dr. Farouk specializes in complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusions and calcified lesions, as well as peripheral vascular procedures. He manages heart failure, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, and performs cardiac imaging (echocardiography), stress testing, and heart rhythm monitoring. He is experienced in implanting pacemakers, defibrillators, and other cardiac devices, and treats blood clots in the veins and lungs.
