Dr. Laith Alshar

Dr. Laith Alshar is a German board-certified dermatologist with subspecialty training in allergy who now practises at American Hospital Dubai. He trained extensively in Germany, including at academic hospitals affiliated with the University of Bochum and the European Medical School Oldenburg-Groningen, and worked as a consultant dermatologist in Hannover before relocating to Dubai. He holds qualifications in dermatology and venereology from the Medical Association of Westphalia-Lippe and is licensed by the Medical Association of Niedersachsen.

Dr. Alshar manages the full spectrum of skin, hair, and nail conditions, from common concerns to complex cases. He is experienced in skin cancer screening and mole mapping, and uses biological therapy for severe or treatment-resistant conditions such as psoriasis, alopecia, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and chronic urticaria. He performs dermato-surgical procedures ranging from removal of benign lesions (cysts, lipomas, moles) to treatment of melanomas, and has extensive experience with multiple laser types including fractional, ablative, and vascular lasers.

Beyond medical dermatology, Dr. Alshar offers aesthetic procedures including botulinum toxin, fillers, PRP injections, mesotherapy, microneedling, chemical peels, radiofrequency treatments, and non-invasive fat freezing and body contouring. He participates regularly in teaching medical students and maintains active membership in leading professional societies including the German Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology.
