Dr. Haitham Talo (ID*)

Dr. Haitham Talo is an American-trained paediatric cardiologist with a quarter-century of experience managing heart conditions in children from birth through age 18. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine in 1988, then completed specialist training in paediatrics at Cleveland Clinic Foundation (1993) and paediatric cardiology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute (1996). Before joining Mediclinic Dubai, he spent 12 years at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, where he led the paediatric cardiology division from 2012 onwards and rose to senior consultant level.

Dr. Talo specializes in assessing and managing children with heart rhythm problems, congenital heart defects (simple and complex), and cardiac murmurs. He uses non-invasive techniques, particularly echocardiography (ultrasound imaging of the heart), and manages young patients before and after heart surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Paediatrics and American Board of Paediatric Cardiology, and holds fellowship status with both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology.
