Dr. Tarik Moustafa Metwally Elbatrawy

Dr. Tarik Elbatrawy is a general surgeon with over 30 years of clinical experience in general surgery, laparoscopy, and proctology (treatment of rectal and anal conditions). He trained in Egypt and the UK, obtaining his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1985 and his FRCS surgical fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1998. He has spent more than 28 years working at Al Ain Hospital and Tawam Hospital in the UAE, where he is also an adjunct assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Elbatrawy specializes in treating rectal and anal problems using minimally invasive laser-assisted techniques. He evaluates and treats anal fistulas (abnormal channels), hemorrhoids (anal piles) at all severity levels, anal fissures (small tears), pilonidal cysts and sinus infections, anal abscesses, and anal bleeding. He also performs minor surgical procedures such as removal of skin moles and lumps under local anesthesia in the clinic. His approach focuses on reducing patient discomfort and speeding recovery so people can return to normal activities as quickly as possible.

Dr. Elbatrawy is recognized as an excellent teacher and received an award for best teaching doctor. He regularly attends medical conferences in the UAE and internationally to stay current with advances in his field.
