Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Shahbuddin

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Shahbuddin is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist with over 20 years of experience in the UK's National Health Service. He trained at leading NHS institutions including Nottingham University Hospitals, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Royal Derby Hospital, and United Lincolnshire Hospitals before relocating to the UAE. He completed his medical degree in India in 2002 and went on to earn dual specialist training in General Internal Medicine and Diabetes & Endocrinology, achieving accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr. Shahbuddin manages the full spectrum of diabetes—Type 1, Type 2, and rare forms—along with obesity, weight management, and hormone-related disorders affecting the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, and pituitary. He has extensive experience with insulin pump therapy, diabetic kidney disease, diabetic complications including foot care, and blood-sugar emergencies. He also specializes in diabetes reversal programmes, helping patients achieve remission through lifestyle changes and evidence-based treatment, as well as caring for diabetes in pregnancy and in elderly patients.

Beyond direct patient care, Dr. Shahbuddin has held leadership and supervisory roles and led service development initiatives to improve patient pathways and care delivery.
