Dr. Michelle Buari RD

Ms. Michelle Buari is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Deputy Director at Zulekha Hospital in Sharjah, bringing over 15 years of clinical nutrition experience. She trained at London Metropolitan University, earning her BSc (Hons) in Applied Human Nutrition and Dietetics in 2005, and spent her career within the UK's National Health Service and private sector before relocating to the UAE.

Michelle specializes in complex gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome, and intestinal failure requiring specialized feeding support (parenteral and enteral nutrition). She also has expertise in oncology nutrition—particularly upper gastrointestinal cancers—renal disease, liver disease, and critical care nutrition. Her previous role as Lead Specialist Acute Services Dietitian at The London Clinic (2011–2018) developed her skills in managing patients needing tube feeding, intravenous nutrition, and comprehensive nutritional care planning around surgery and disease management.
