Dr. Shyam Sakhuja (ID*)

Dr. Shyam Sakhuja is a specialist periodontist with broad experience in general dentistry and gum health. He trained at the Government College of Dentistry in Indore for his undergraduate degree and obtained his Master's degree from the Government College of Dentistry in Goa, India. He also trained at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune and served as a specialist in the Indian Armed Forces, eventually becoming officiating Head of the Department of Periodontics and Implantology at the Army Dental Centre, Army Hospital (Research & Referral).

Dr. Sakhuja treats a wide range of dental conditions across patients of all ages. For adults, he manages gum problems such as bleeding gums, loose teeth, receding gums, and bone loss around teeth, using both surgical and non-surgical approaches. He performs advanced treatments including single-visit root canals, retreatment of failed root canals, tooth whitening, and placement of crowns, bridges, and dentures. For children, he specializes in primary tooth preservation with root canal treatment, fillings, stainless steel crowns, and space maintainers.

Dr. Sakhuja is known for his surgical expertise in gum aesthetics, ridge augmentation, tooth extractions, and corrective surgery for failed root canals. He is a member of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. His approach combines evidence-based clinical training with practical experience across multiple dental settings in India and the Gulf region.
