Dr. Mohamed Salem

Dr. Mohamed Salem is a specialist ophthalmologist with over seven years of clinical experience in both medical and surgical eye conditions. He completed his medical training and ophthalmology residency in Egypt, then spent seven years with the Saudi Ministry of Health in the Central Province, where he gained extensive expertise. In 2015, he returned to Egypt as Medical Director of MAS Eye Center before moving to the UAE, where he has worked at leading hospitals including Thumbay Hospital Fujairah and Saudi German Hospital in Ajman and Sharjah. He now practices at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah.

Dr. Salem's surgical expertise spans vitreoretinal procedures (treating retinal detachment, macular holes, and diabetic retinopathy), cataract surgery using phacoemulsification and small-incision techniques, and refractive surgery including LASIK. He also specializes in pediatric eye conditions, strabismus (crossed eyes), oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery, corneal transplantation, and uveitis (eye inflammation).
