Dr. Michael Timms

Dr. Michael Timms is a consultant ENT surgeon with over three decades of experience in ear, nose and throat surgery. He served as chief of ENT, maxillofacial and ophthalmology at East Lancashire NHS Trust in the UK from 1992 to 2010, and later held the position of ENT consultant and director of the Cochlear Implant Programme at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (2010–2016). He is an Associate Professor at Al Faisal University Medical School in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Timms is an early adopter of endoscopic sinus surgery (keyhole surgery of the sinuses), having performed over 6,000 procedures since 1992. He has extensive experience treating complex conditions including cerebrospinal fluid leaks and benign skull-base tumours. He has developed and published extensively on the use of coblation technology (a minimally invasive surgical technique) across ENT procedures, including tonsil and adenoid removal, snoring surgery, nasal and sinus tumours, and laryngeal conditions.

He offers a comprehensive range of ear, nose and throat treatments, from routine procedures to complex reconstructive and functional surgeries. His work combines technical expertise with a focus on minimally invasive techniques to reduce recovery time and improve patient outcomes.
