Dr. Rawand Mowaffaq Abdin

Dr. Rawand Abdin is a Staff Physician in the Vascular Surgery Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute. She trained in Internal Medicine at McMaster University in Canada, followed by specialized fellowship training in Vascular Medicine. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2024, she spent three years as a Vascular Medicine Consultant in Ontario, where she managed patients with complex vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, and lymphedema.

Dr. Abdin treats a broad range of vascular and cardiovascular conditions with a focus on both medical management and preventive care. Her clinical interests include abnormal vascular lab findings, lymphedema management, varicose veins, carotid disease, claudication, and metabolic risk factors such as high cholesterol and obesity. She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in vascular medicine and cardiovascular prevention, contributing to evidence-based approaches in personalized vascular care.

She is particularly focused on helping patients reduce cardiovascular risk through lifestyle changes, weight management, and preventive vascular health programs. Dr. Abdin holds certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine and is fluent in English and Arabic.
