Dr. Archana Shetty

Dr. Archana Shetty is a consultant breast surgeon with over 20 years of experience in both the UK and India. She completed her full surgical training in the UK over 15 years and holds fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Surgeons. Previously, she served as a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at Peterborough Hospital in the UK, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, and Narayana Health in Bangalore.

Dr. Shetty specialises in all aspects of breast disease, both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous). Her core expertise includes oncoplastic surgery—a combination of cancer removal and reconstruction techniques—as well as sentinel node biopsies, wire-guided surgery, skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies, breast-conserving surgery, and axillary clearance. She also treats male breast conditions. Her research at University College London focused on DNA markers that help predict breast cancer behaviour and response to treatment.

Dr. Shetty is an active educator, serving as faculty at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and reviewing for the Indian Journal of Surgical Oncology.
