Dr. Muddazir Ali Ibrahim is a specialist ENT surgeon with more than 15 years of experience in ear, nose, throat and head-neck surgery. He trained in India, completing his Master of Surgery in ENT from Government Medical College, Jabalpur in 2010, and has since obtained fellowships from the European Board of Otolaryngology and the International College of Surgeons. He previously led the ENT department at Aster Hospital in Dubai for 7 years, where he was instrumental in building and developing the service.
Dr. Ibrahim specializes in advanced keyhole (endoscopic) and microscopic surgeries of the ear and sinuses. His expertise includes functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) for chronic sinusitis, scarless ear surgery, ear drum repair (tympanoplasty), treatment of ear infections and cholesteatoma, and pituitary surgery performed through the nose in collaboration with neurosurgeons. He also performs endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks from the skull base. He has particular expertise in paediatric ENT surgery, including adenoid and tonsil removal, ear tube insertion, and keyhole removal of adenoids in children.
Dr. Ibrahim takes a minimally invasive approach wherever possible, using endoscopic techniques to avoid large incisions. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals and has undergone fellowship training in advanced techniques including otology (ear surgery), skull base surgery, and cochlear implant assessment.
