Dr. Maan Taba

Dr. Maan Taba is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with 35 years of experience and a specialist focus on foot and ankle surgery. He trained extensively in the UK, completing specialist orthopaedic training at Barnet and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, and holds the FRCS (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons) in Trauma and Orthopaedics from England. He earned his MD in Orthopaedics and MS in Surgery from Spain. Dr. Taba has served as a consultant at four major UK hospitals including Spire Hartswood, Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals, Brentwood Bupa, and the Wellington Hospital Clinic.

Dr. Taba is an expert in sports injuries affecting the foot and ankle, including instabilities and fractures. He is a strong advocate for minimally invasive surgery and uses these techniques to correct a wide range of foot and ankle problems: children's foot deformities, diabetic foot complications, forefoot issues, and both congenital and post-trauma ankle deformities. He also treats ankle rheumatoid conditions and performs total ankle replacements. His approach focuses on precise, tissue-sparing procedures that promote faster recovery.

Dr. Taba is a founding member and president of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Club in the UAE and founder of the Arab Foot and Ankle Surgeons Club, reflecting his leadership in advancing the specialty across the region. He is active in international professional bodies including BOFAS (British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society), EFAS (European Foot and Ankle Society), MIFAS (Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Society), and SEMCEPT (Spanish Foot and Ankle Society), and serves as an Asia Pacific board member for foot and ankle surgery.
