Dr. Pankaj Shrivastav

Dr Pankaj Shrivastav is a Consultant in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at King's College Hospital London, Dubai, with over 32 years of clinical experience in fertility care. He trained in India at Christian Medical College, Vellore, before advancing his specialist training in the UK, where he became a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG). In 1991, he was invited by the Government of Dubai to establish the UAE's first fertility unit—a pivotal moment that shaped modern fertility treatment across the region.

Dr Shrivastav's clinical practice covers the full spectrum of fertility treatment: in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI for male infertility), preimplantation genetic testing of embryos, hysteroscopic keyhole surgery for uterine problems, and surgical sperm retrieval techniques (PESA and TeSA). He pioneered innovative methods in ovarian stimulation and sperm retrieval that are now used globally. During his 13 years as Deputy Director of Dubai's first fertility centre, he oversaw the birth of over 2,000 IVF babies and led the delivery of the UAE's first IVF babies in July 1992. He now leads Conceive—The Gynaecology & Fertility Hospital in Sharjah.

Dr Shrivastav is particularly interested in advanced embryo assessment, including blastocyst culture and time-lapse imaging to select the strongest embryos. He has collaborated on research with Yale University and contributed to multiple publications. He holds memberships in major fertility organizations (ESHRE and ASRM) and was awarded the Hind Rattan Award by India in recognition of his contributions to medicine. He is fluent in English and Hindi and offers a patient-centered approach to couples navigating infertility.
