Dr. Hazem Alaaraj

Dr. Hazem Alaaraj is an experienced diagnostic and interventional radiologist practising at American Hospital Dubai. He spent 18 years working in the UK's National Health Service, including six years as a consultant at a large district hospital, before relocating to the UAE. His background combines broad diagnostic imaging skills with advanced interventional procedures—both therapeutic and palliative—performed under image guidance.

Dr. Alaaraj subspecializes in uroradiology, with particular expertise in prostate imaging and minimally invasive techniques to help treat complex kidney stones (staghorn stones) in partnership with urological surgeons. He performs a wide range of image-guided interventions and diagnostic studies across body systems.

He holds multiple UK postgraduate qualifications, including fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists. In 2024, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in recognition of his clinical contributions.
