Dr. Fathima Thasneem E A

Dr Fathima Thasneem is a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at Medcare Women and Children Hospital in Dubai, with over 12 years of experience and a special focus on minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery. She trained at Government Medical College in Kozhikode, Kerala, and completed her specialist qualification (MS) in obstetrics and gynaecology from Kerala University of Health Sciences. She is a Diplomate of the National Board (India) and holds a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery from Sunrise Hospital in Kochi.

Dr Thasneem is known for establishing the first comprehensive gynaecological keyhole surgery department in the cooperative sector in North Kerala, where she performed over 1000 complex laparoscopic procedures. She treats a wide range of conditions including endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, and pelvic floor problems such as uterine prolapse and urinary incontinence using mesh repair. She is particularly passionate about how keyhole techniques provide both physical and psychological benefits through minimal scarring and faster recovery.
