Dr. Nils Engelmann

Dr. Nils Engelmann is a Consultant in Anaesthesia at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, bringing over two decades of specialist experience across Europe and the Middle East. He trained in Germany, working at leading hospitals including Elblandklinikum Riesa and Klinikum St. Georg before gaining experience in the UK at prestigious institutions such as The Royal London Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, and Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital. He holds both his medical degree from Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany and an MBA in International Management.

Dr. Engelmann specialises in general anaesthesia and emergency medical services, with additional expertise in critical care and intensive care medicine. Prior to joining Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, he headed the Anaesthesia Department at King's College Hospital in the UAE and held leadership roles at fertility clinics. He is a member of the Professional Association of German Anaesthesiologists and holds medical registrations with regulatory bodies in the UK, Switzerland, Australia, Oman, the UAE, and Germany.
