About Dr. Azzi
Dr. Nagi Azzi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Mediclinic Al Ain Hospital and Mediclinic Al Yahar, with over 20 years of international clinical experience across France, Canada, Lebanon, and the UAE. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and vascular medicine, and holds fellowships from both the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Azzi has performed more than 2,200 coronary interventions, including complex and high-risk procedures. His clinical expertise spans coronary angiography (heart imaging), percutaneous coronary intervention (keyhole stent placement), treatment of difficult blockages (bifurcation lesions and chronic total occlusions), intravascular imaging techniques (IVUS and OCT), transradial access (wrist-based catheterisation), heart ultrasound (both transthoracic and transesophageal), stress testing, and cardiovascular risk assessment.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Azzi actively contributes to research and medical education, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and experience teaching residents, nurses, and medical students. He brings a patient-centred approach to cardiac care and also has interest in health economics within cardiovascular medicine. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
