Dr. Kristina Karanfilovska

Kristina is a physiotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience treating athletes, adolescents and adults across multiple settings. She trained in the Republic of Macedonia, earning her physiotherapy diploma in 2010 and completing a bachelor's degree in professional physiotherapy in 2013. Her career began in Europe, where she worked with professional handball teams competing in the European Handball Championship and SEHA Gazprom League. Since relocating to Dubai, she has led the Department of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation in the private healthcare setting and continues to treat patients in both inpatient and outpatient care.

Kristina specialises in musculoskeletal conditions, spinal rehabilitation before and after surgery, neurological recovery in adults, and orthopaedic injuries at all stages — whether acute, post-operative or chronic. She uses a range of evidence-based techniques including the Bobath Concept (for neurological cases), manual therapy, myofascial release, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), dry cupping, hydrotherapy and the Red Cord concept. She is also trained in sports rehabilitation and ergonomics, helping patients understand postural and movement habits that affect daily function and recovery.

Kristina works within multidisciplinary teams to treat complex neurosurgical, neurological and spinal cases, with a focus on maximising rehabilitation potential and helping patients understand the clinical issues affecting their recovery. She is a good fit for anyone recovering from surgery, managing a sports injury, or dealing with neurological conditions affecting movement and function.
