Dr. Rooney Mtanous Touma

Dr. Rooney Mtanous Touma is a Specialist Orthodontist at Medcare's Jumeirah branch, with 6 years of clinical experience in orthodontics. He trained at Jami't Al Ba'ath University in Syria for his dental degree, then completed specialist postgraduate training through the Syrian Board of Orthodontics. He began his career in Syria with part-time roles at private clinics, then established a private practice before relocating to Dubai, where he has worked at Silesia Dental Clinic and now at Medcare.

Dr. Touma treats a wide range of bite and alignment problems using modern fixed and removable appliances. His experience includes correction of protruding or recessed teeth, crossbites, crowding, and narrow smiles. He offers metal and ceramic braces, clear aligners, and functional appliances for growing patients, as well as skeletal expanders and mini-screw-assisted techniques for adult cases. He also provides pre-surgical orthodontic planning for patients who may need jaw surgery.
