Dr. Nia Rhianwen Jones

Dr. Nia is a Consultant in Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine with twenty years of postgraduate international experience. She trained in accredited programs in London and Sydney, completing higher specialty training at major trauma centres including St Mary's Hospital and the Royal London Hospital, where she also completed a fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. Since 2024, she has been based in the UAE working at STMC in Al Ain, a regional Major Trauma Centre.

In her daily practice, Dr. Nia works in resuscitation and is an ALS (Advanced Life Support), APLS (Advanced Paediatric Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) provider and nominated instructor. She uses ultrasound routinely, especially during resuscitation. She treats both adult and paediatric patients presenting with emergency and trauma conditions, and has particular expertise in serious youth violence prevention—developing initiatives within the emergency department to identify young people at risk and provide life-saving interventions.

Dr. Nia has extensive teaching and managerial experience and is committed to training and developing emergency multidisciplinary teams. She speaks English natively, French proficiently, and Spanish at a basic level.
