Dr. Aruna Janaki

Dr. Aruna Janaki is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with 24 years of clinical experience. She trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, where she completed her medical degree and specialist qualification, and later obtained membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (UK). She worked in various roles in India—from senior resident to consultant—before relocating to the UAE in 2014, where she now practices at NMC Healthcare in Al Ain.

Dr. Janaki has extensive experience managing the full spectrum of obstetric care, from uncomplicated deliveries to complex high-risk pregnancies. She specializes in operative vaginal delivery (forceps and vacuum extraction), vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC), preterm delivery, and management of conditions including pregnancy-induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, intrauterine growth restriction, and recurrent miscarriage. She is also skilled in general gynaecological surgery, including hysterectomy, fibroid removal, tubal surgery, diagnostic laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy.

Throughout her career, Dr. Janaki has been actively involved in research and has presented at regional and international conferences. Having worked across multiple cultures and nationalities in India and now in the UAE, she builds strong rapport with diverse patient populations and brings sensitivity to varied cultural backgrounds.
