Dr. Shailesh Krishna Kohad

Dr Shailesh Krishna Kohad is an anaesthesiologist with more than 18 years of experience managing high-acuity cases across multiple surgical specialties. He trained in complex paediatric anaesthesia, neurosurgery involving brain and spine procedures, thoracic surgery with specialized airway techniques, and cardiac cases in high-risk patients. He currently practices at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi.

Dr Kohad's expertise spans ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia (nerve blocks), single-lung ventilation for chest surgery, and major cancer reconstructions. He manages conditions including brain tumours, meningiomas, spinal disc problems, joint replacements, and traumatic injuries. He is experienced in both open and minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures, from brain surgery and spine decompression to laparoscopic abdominal and urological operations.
