Dr. Shyam Mohan

Dr. Shyam Mohan is a Consultant Paediatrician Radiologist at American Hospital Dubai, with extensive training in the United Kingdom and Canada. He completed his medical degree at the University of Calicut, India, and obtained specialist qualifications in both paediatrics and radiology from the Royal Colleges in the UK. He then undertook a fellowship in paediatric radiology at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada—one of the world's leading children's hospitals. Prior to joining American Hospital Dubai, he worked as a Consultant Paediatrician Radiologist at Birmingham Children's Hospital in the UK and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Mohan's clinical expertise spans the full range of medical imaging in children, with particular focus on the brain and nervous system, chest, bones and joints, digestive system, and cancer-related imaging. He also specialises in foetal MRI scans during pregnancy. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals and has been actively involved in training radiology doctors and residents in both the UK and UAE. He holds the position of Global Teaching Faculty for the Royal College of Radiology, reflecting his contribution to medical education.
