Dr. Asma Alshamsi

Dr. Asma Alshamsi is a general practitioner with over 6 years of clinical experience across primary care, pediatrics, women's health, and emergency medicine. She graduated from the University of Sharjah College of Medicine in 2018 and completed her internship at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. She then trained in Family Medicine at Zayed Military Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident, demonstrating her leadership and clinical expertise. She currently practises at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Asma's clinical practice centres on comprehensive primary care for all ages, with particular strength in managing chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and thyroid disorders. She also provides women's health care, paediatric support including growth and development monitoring, skin condition management, and preventive medicine. Her hands-on skills include wound care, minor skin procedures, blood pressure monitoring interpretation, ECG reading, and vaccinations. She emphasises patient education on lifestyle changes, diet, and exercise to prevent disease and improve long-term health.
