Dr. Prathima Munichandrappa is a Specialist Dermatologist at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah, with training from leading Indian medical institutions. She completed her MBBS at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, followed by an MD in Dermatology from PGIMER, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi. She trained as Senior Resident at JIPMER and later worked as faculty at a medical college in Bangalore while building a concurrent aesthetic dermatology practice.

Dr. Munichandrappa treats a broad range of skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, skin infections, and connective tissue disorders. She performs advanced procedures such as laser therapy for hair removal and scar revision, phototherapy, chemical peels, and vitiligo surgery. She also offers minimally invasive treatments including PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy, microneedling, radiofrequency removal of warts and skin tags, and injectable treatments like botulinum toxin and mesotherapy. Her research interest includes the relationship between hormonal abnormalities and acne.

She is fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil, making her accessible to diverse patient populations. Her background combines academic rigour with hands-on clinical and aesthetic experience, positioning her to address both medical and cosmetic skin concerns.
