Dr. Omer Elhag (ID*)

Dr. Omer Elhag is a highly experienced interventional cardiologist who specialises in electrophysiology—the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He graduated from the University of Khartoum in 1981 and completed further training in Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, bringing decades of clinical expertise to his practice at Mediclinic.

Dr. Elhag provides a comprehensive range of electrophysiological diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He performs implantation of cardiac pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices (CRT/CRT-D), insertable loop recorders (Reveal devices), and radiofrequency ablation—a minimally invasive technique to treat abnormal heart rhythms.
