Dr. Maged Zakaria Ibrahim

Dr. Maged Zakaria Ibrahim is a Specialist Neonatologist at Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai with over 15 years of experience in neonatal intensive care. He trained in General Pediatrics and Neonatology at Ain Shams University in Egypt, where he also served as a lecturer and researcher. He has worked across tertiary university hospitals in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, managing some of the most complex cases of extremely premature and critically ill newborns.

Dr. Maged specializes in comprehensive neonatal intensive care, including the management of extremely premature babies, newborns in respiratory distress, and infants requiring emergency stabilization. He is proficient in bedside procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and lumbar puncture, and has expertise in both non-invasive and mechanical ventilation, including high-frequency ventilation. He also provides specialized care such as total body cooling for newborns with brain injury from lack of oxygen, neonatal nutrition support, and lactation consulting. He holds certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Dr. Maged works collaboratively with pediatric surgeons, the pediatric department, and emergency services to provide coordinated care for high-risk deliveries and critically ill infants.
