Dr Sherin Ahmed Hefny is a consultant physician in clinical pathology and laboratory director with 17 years of experience across Egypt and the UAE. She holds an MBBS from Alexandria University, a Master's degree in Clinical and Chemical Pathology, and a PhD in Clinical Pathology and Haematology from Cairo University (2020). She has led laboratory operations at major institutions including Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital and the Ministry of Health UAE, where she managed technical, quality and administrative functions.

Dr Sherin specializes in diagnosing blood disorders and managing comprehensive laboratory services. Her clinical expertise covers acute leukaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, and various forms of anaemia. She performs bone marrow aspirations, lymph node biopsies, flow cytometry for blood cancers, and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) testing. Her laboratory background also encompasses blood banking, coagulation studies, immunology, molecular diagnostics, chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, and endocrine testing.
