Dr. Paddy Kilian

Dr. Patricia (Paddy) Kilian is an emergency medicine consultant at Mediclinic City Hospital in the UAE, where she works clinical shifts in the Accident and Emergency Department. She previously served as Deputy Head of the Emergency Department for nine years and brings extensive international experience in trauma and emergency care. Before joining Mediclinic, she worked as a trauma team member at Johannesburg Hospital and as a flight doctor for aeromedical services including STAR Helicopter Service, Netcare 911, and the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust.

Dr. Kilian treats a broad range of acute medical and traumatic emergencies, from life-threatening conditions requiring advanced cardiac life support to injuries requiring trauma protocols. She holds multiple advanced resuscitation certifications including Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and has professional experience in anaesthesia and intensive care.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Kilian is the Director of Academic Affairs for Mediclinic Middle East and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU). She specialises in simulation-based medical education, teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students, and coordinates the MBRU Year 5 Emergency Medicine course. She is a certified simulation instructor and faculty member for the MBRU postgraduate certificate in Point-of-Care Ultrasound.
