Dr. Leena Amiri

Dr. Leena Amiri is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Medcare Medical Centre in Jumeirah with 15 years of clinical experience in psychiatry. She completed her MBBS with a specialization in Psychiatry from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in the UAE and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, having completed her fellowship training at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Amiri specializes in assessing and treating mental health disorders in children, adolescents, and adults, with particular expertise in anxiety and mood disorders. She combines medication management with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a structured talking therapy proven effective for many conditions. Beyond clinical practice, she has held academic leadership roles, including serving as Assistant Dean for Student & Alumni Affairs at UAE University, and continues to teach medical students and residents.
