Dr. Israr Haq

Dr. Israr Haq is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He brings over a decade of experience, having trained and worked in the UK's National Health Service (NHS) from 2013, including substantial time at a Level 1 Trauma Centre. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he worked as a consultant in a busy Trauma Unit, where he held the position of Resuscitation Lead.

Dr. Haq specializes in managing acute medical and trauma emergencies, with particular expertise in resuscitating critically ill patients and stabilizing trauma cases. He is trained in intensive care and anaesthetics alongside his core emergency medicine skills. His qualifications include fellowships from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) and the European Board of Emergency Medicine (EUSEM), completed in 2022. In 2024, he also earned a Diploma in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), broadening his ability to care for younger patients in emergency settings.

Dr. Haq has a particular focus on resuscitation techniques, clinical teaching and simulation-based training, and point-of-care ultrasound (a bedside imaging tool used to guide emergency decisions).
