Dr. Ahmed Gouda

Dr. Ahmed Gouda is a specialist gastroenterologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology and hepatology. He completed his medical degree in 1999 and his Master's in Internal Medicine at Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2010, followed by a fellowship from the Egyptian Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology accredited by the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2013. He has trained at leading institutions across the Middle East, including Nasser General Hospital in Egypt and King Faisal Hospital in Mecca, where he worked as a Senior Specialist. He joined Burjeel Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi in 2019.

Dr. Gouda specializes in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. His expertise covers colonoscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding, management of oesophageal and gastric varices, endoscopic procedures for weight management including intragastric balloons, liver fibroscan assessment, and abdominal fluid drainage. He holds a European Diploma in Clinical Nutrition from ESPEN (2016) and has trained junior doctors in advanced endoscopy techniques.

He is particularly suited to patients with complex liver conditions, bleeding disorders of the digestive tract, obesity-related concerns suitable for endoscopic management, and those requiring advanced diagnostic or therapeutic endoscopy without surgery.
